Our Mission

The Harrison County Transportation Authority is responsible for providing safe, efficient, reliable transportation to the residents of Harrison County through our Transit Division, and quality roadside assistance to stranded motorists through our Highway Division.

Our Divisions

Transit Division

The Transit Division is comprised of two units. These units are Transit Unit A and Transit Unit B. Both units are the backbone of the Department of Transportation, and are the most visible unit. They are responsible for the first part of our mission: to provide safe, efficient, reliable transportation to the residents of Harrison County.

Highway Division

The Highway Division is comprised of two units. These units are Highway Unit A and Highway Unit B. These units are the second most visible unit. They are responsible for the second part of our mission: to provide quality roadside assistance to stranded motorists of Harrison County.

Support Division

The Support Division is comprised of two units. These units are the Human Resources Unit and the Public Relations Unit. The Human Resources Unit acts as internal affairs to the authority, enforcing all ethical standards set by the Director and Deputy Director of Transportation. The Public Relations Unit promotes the authority's brand through media and events.
